Who says you can't eat pancakes ALL day?

Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake Day - 13th February) is a date in the calendar we look forward to every year... 


Mainly because you can eat as many pancakes as you want and not care because it's completely acceptable, right?

Whether you eat pancakes often or hardly ever, you might not have known that you can eat them for every meal of the day. Amazing!

Here are some of our most-loved recipes:

Breakfast
You may have seen some pancake breakfast ideas but these are so tasty that you don't want to miss out:

'Pacos'

If you like tacos, you'll LOVE these. For a filling and delicious breakfast, try this American inspired recipe. Turn a standard pancake into a taco shape and add bacon, eggs, cheese and maple syrup - yum!

Eggs and spinach

This is pretty easy for those who aren't the best (or can't be bothered) at cooking. Add a bed of spinach to a pancake and then Quickly fry or poach an egg to place on top. A fool-proof and healthyish meal in under 5 minutes!

Chocolate with cherries

If there's ever a time when chocolate for breakfast is justifiable, it's Christmas and Pancake Day! This vegan recipe produces amazing results and will make all your flatmates jealous. How adventurous are you feeling?

Lunch/Dinner
These 
savoury options are perfect for your early or late afternoon meal - some of the ingredients you might not have even considered before:

Indian pancakes

You might have English-style pancakes or thicker American-style ones but have you tried Indian pancakes? This savoury recipe is vegan and full of flavour - using chilli, chickpea and garlic with a carrot and onion filling.

Vegetable Fajitas

Have you ever considered using the pancake as a wrap? Fajitas are a student favourite because they're cheap, really easy and can be prepped for a few meals so why not try a vegetarian version and wrap it up between some pancakes?

Coconut flavoured flatbread

Another variation of a pancake you might not have EVER considered - using it as a flatbread. This could make you some tasty sandwiches to take to university to prevent you spending between lectures.

Dessert
Now we move to the most obvious and exciting of them all - time to load up your favourite sweet treats:

Peanut butter & chocolate

These are pretty easy to whip up and are full of flavour. Chocolate and peanut butter are such a perfect combination - what's not to love? Make sure you put some chocolate chips or bits on top too!

Nutella stuffed pancakes

You might have had strawberries and chocolate on top of a pancake before but stuffing the pancake with Nutella is a different level of delicious. Make these pancake sandwiches and freeze them so you can quickly heat them up whenever you wish.

Strawberry cheesecake

This is for those who take desserts really seriously. The recipe is pretty straightforward but uses a few different ingredients. It's seriously worth it though to have a pancake and a cheesecake in one sitting!
