If you've lived in Edinburgh for nearly a year, 2 years, or even 3 years and haven't explored properly yet...
It's time to experience the best that Scotland has to offer!
Here's our list of top events, experiences and landmarks you need to visit during your time here:
Catch a film at Cameo. Thought to be one of Tarantino's favourite picture houses means it's probably worth a visit (or two). This arthouse screens indie and mainstream movies, and has a lively bar to relax in after!
Edinburgh International festival. Every August, the city invites some of the finest creators and performers from theatre, music, opera and dance to show off their talents - not to be missed!
Go to Fringe festival. The largest arts festival in the world, Fringe dominates Scotland's capital for 3-weeks a year, with thousands of performers from theatre, comedy, dance, music and more!
Climb Arthur's Seat. The highest point of an extinct volcano that erupted 350 million years ago. Visiting Arthur's Seat is one of the best free things to do in Edinburgh to get incredible views over the city!
Go shopping on Princes Street. Just over a mile of your fave high street stores and restaurants. Want somewhere to relax after? Then head to Princes Street Gardens, just a stone's throw away!
Explore the Dungeons. With an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects and rides in this walkthrough experience, expect to be very entertained and a little bit (a lot) scared!
Be amazed at Camera Obscura. Check out this 5-floor tower packed with whimsical optical illusions, whilst admiring fantastic views.
