Birmingham is located just under an hours train journey away is one of the major cities in the UK. Home to Cadbury World; National Sea Life Centre and the famous Bull Ring shopping centre, Birmingham provides plenty of things to do and see and is definitely worth a visit.
Known for its role in the Robin Hood legend, Nottingham is a goldmine of medieval culture. Nottingham is also home to the Motorpoint arena if you want to see a concert/gig. The city is also full with quirky bars and a great night life, perfect place for a night or two away from Leicester and only 30 minutes away on the train.
3) Peak District
Just two hours away is one of the most beautiful areas our country has to offer, the Peak District in Derbyshire. With lots of opportunity to camp and go hiking, this is a must see experience for all people who enjoy the outdoors.
