I'm back with my top picks for cinema viewing!
Here’s a list of movies that I have watched this month (listed by my ranking):
1. Marvel End Game
2. Detective Pikachu
I have written the reviews for the first three as I enjoyed them more, but if you would like to see the other reviews, please pm me on Instagram: @judietaiwanese.

Although we are aware that there is no perfect endings with no dying, it is still quite upsetting when the characters die, especially when these two happened to be my favourite two characters from Marvel. Now I need new favourite characters. Despite that, the movie was handled quite well. The pace was perfect as it wasn’t too intense but no time was wasted.
My favourite quote in the end game was from Iron Man: “Part of the journey is the end. What am I even tripping for? Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to. I love you three thousand.” There is a direction in each journey, and the ending is the result of what you have worked on. There is no surprise there. So if you are facing the next life stage, embrace the end of this life stage. If you are currently in the middle of the journey, keep calm and work hard!
If you have watched the movie, you might wish to join the pub quiz happening on 5th June in Slug & Lettuce Omni Centre. See link: https://www.facebook.com/events/341070109764640/
I actually enjoy the story a lot compared to my initial expectation of the movie. If you grow up with pokemons just like me, it might take a short while to get used to fluffy pokemons. However, it might be worth watching in 3D and 4D just because there are quite a bit of effects.
My favourite quote from Detective Pikachu is when Pikachu told Tim Goodman, “Listen, kid, I know this much. If your dad was here, he would hug you so hard your bones would pop.” Family love is not chosen, but it’s also unconditional. No matter how close / distant you are to your parents, the connection is always there. You know you will always love each other, so remember to tell the appreciation when you can!
Again, the movie was way beyond my expectation. I remembered watching the live musical, and hating it as Genie was dominating the entire musical. Because of the experience, I thought Will Smith would dominate the entire movie. However, the balance was actually great, and the other actors and actresses also performed brilliantly!
My favourite quote from Aladdin is from Aladdin, “If you don't have anything, you have to act like you own everything.” Fake it until you make it. Some say this is attraction law, but from my perspective, it’s just helping to boost confidence. Well, what can you achieve without confidence?
