Food shopping tips to save you money this Spring
You may have heard that to be a savvy shopper, you need to pay attention to what season it is.
We've now hit Spring which means there are some new fruit and veg in town (for a cheaper price!) Choosing seasonal veg can have a positive impact on your wallet as well as your diet...
These green spears of goodness are packed with nutrients - they're a good source of fibre, folate and vitamins.
The ideal healthy snack and a favourite on a tuna butty, cucumbers are low in calories, promote hydration and contain valuable antioxidants.
Meals to try: Prawn, avocado & cucumber salad, Lemon, lime cucumber water, fried stuffed cucumbers
The benefits of these leafy greens are endless. This nutrient-rich veg is a great source of vitamins and minerals including iron and calcium.
Meals to try: Chickpea, tomato & spinach curry, Spinach & ricotta cannelloni, Salmon & spinach tart
Lovely in Chinese dishes and salads, they are an excellent source of vitamin C and calcium.
