7 healthy power snacks for studying

By BzBarlow 03 May 2019

You're going to get hungry with all that revising and exam prep, and you'll need to keep your mind sharp...

This stress-filled period can lead to unhealthy choices when it comes to meal times but you want to avoid those unhealthy choices if you want to do the very best you can.

Try some of these healthy alternatives that will power your body and mind, rather than make you sluggish and unable to concentrate:

1. Peanut butter and banana cinnamon toast
Spruce up with this easy, energising snack with a sprinkle of cinnamon!

2. Frozen yoghurt-covered berries
Avoid eating a tub of ice cream when you're stressing out and instead cover your favourite berries in yoghurt and stick them in the freezer.

3. Avocado on toast
A staple favourite for an Insta post! However, this is a quick, easy and healthy win to give you energy. Try adding a poached egg on top.

4. Chocolate almond energy balls
These energy-packed balls are the perfect substitute for things like brownies, cookies or chocolate bars!

5. Green smoothie
It's important to get those veggies down you and what easier way to do that than to drink them? Don't worry, it does actually taste good and not like you're drinking a cup of spinach.

6. Roasted chickpeas
Put the crisps down and pick the chickpeas up! This recipe offers the perfect (healthy) crispy replacement.

7. Mini stuffed peppers
This 3-ingredient recipe is simple and perfect to satisfy your savoury tooth. They'll fill you up more than you think too!

Happy snacking. All you need to do now is go out and smash your exams!
