Belfast Marrow is a student-led branch of Anthony Nolan, the blood cancer charity that runs the UK's stem cell register.
They work to raise awareness of the register among 16-30-year-olds and run donor recruitment events to give other students a chance to sign up to potentially save someone's life.
As part of their annual Hero Week, Belfast Marrow ran a recruitment drive at John Bell House in the hope of finding some real-life superheroes.
An incredible 70 residents took time out of their day to sign up! This was a massive step towards helping the team sign up 324 potential lifesavers over the course of the week. The Marrow volunteers were so impressed at the enthusiasm and level of interest among the residents and staff at John Bell House.
Two residents, Tyler and Rami, even became volunteers on the day and did a fantastic job signing up their friends!
Fingers crossed that one day, someone with blood cancer will get a second chance at life.
